  • Training: Train and mentor technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and efficient plant operation techniques.

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of chemicals, spare parts, and supplies necessary for plant operations. Reorder materials as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of treated wastewater meets or exceeds established standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in wastewater treatment, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations; years of supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and related regulations. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to operate and maintain various types of wastewater treatment equipment and machinery. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces and adverse weather conditions. Physical agility to climb ladders, stairs, and work in elevated areas.
