Job Description

This program is designed to train and engage emerging professionals interested in various roles such as Sales Enablement, Sales, Application Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Marketing, Product Management, Project Management, Field Service, Product Support & Solution Support. Participants will work on critical business projects, develop engineering & commercial skills, increase technical competence, and gain market knowledge while supporting customers throughout their journey in the complete sales cycle.

The program concludes with participants collaborating on a group project that is presented prior to graduation. Throughout the program, participants are offered exclusive training in many important developmental areas including introduction to Cognex Corporation, Cognex culture and leadership, technical instruction & product overviews, machine vision and ID technology industry overview, project management, communication skills, presentation skills, and negotiating skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Cognex is looking for well-rounded, intelligent, creative, and motivated candidates with a passion for getting results. Individuals with these characteristics will allow Cognex to develop a successful broad-based organization and continue to lead the machine vision marketplace. To be considered for this program, candidates must:

  • Be a high-energy motivated learner who aspires to work on cutting-edge technologies and projects;
  • Have excellent presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
  • Drive change with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Be a team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and willing to take the initiative to address problems without hesitation.
Education and Experience Required

Only open to Undergraduate Seniors and Masters students graduating in May 2025 [Program start date: June 2025]. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant field. Ability to program in JS, C++ preferred.
