Assembler (any soldering skills) Job Description

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Assembler (any soldering skills) for an opportunity in Salt Lake City, UT.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Assembler (any soldering skills) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling parts and inspecting their own work as instructed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand work instructions, verify work instructions match assignment, and learn new work instructions as required.
  • Collect required materials from bins and set up workstations per work instruction.
  • Assemble parts and inspect own work as instructed.
  • Complete required training in a timely manner.
  • Assist other manufacturing staff with their duties as requested.
  • Assist with other projects as requested by a member of management.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as required in work instructions.
  • Verify work instructions match assignment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and understand Device/Work instructions.
  • Ability to understand verbal work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a repeated basis.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)/color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors; depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
  • Able to succeed in highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.
  • Able to carry out tasks through detailed written or oral instructions; basic computer skills.
  • IPC soldering certification preferred; soldering skills required.
