About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Operations team at Air Transport Services Group, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating Power BI visualizations and dashboards, data analysis, and data warehousing tasks for internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect business intelligence requirements and understand their data needs.
- Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to meet customer requirements.
- Audit existing databases and reports to optimize performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Publish and administer Power BI reports, datasets, workspaces, and apps to ensure seamless data delivery.
- Develop and maintain staging databases and data warehouses for consumption by Power BI.
- Set up and administer Power BI data connections to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Four-plus years of experience with Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI or Tableau.
- Proven expertise in creating Power BI visualizations, reports, data models, DAX, and database queries.
- Green Belt / LSS certification is a plus.
- Aviation/Aircraft knowledge is a plus.
Desired Competencies:
- Experience in working through all stages of the analytics lifecycle, including data extraction, validation, and cleansing.
- Knowledge of data warehousing products and techniques, including OLAP and/or SSAS.
- Ability to work with different departments and cross-functional teams, including customer interface and requirements gathering.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage a wide variety of data and related tools to improve organizational efficiency.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle customer demands.
- Additional software development skills, particularly in.NET, Python, R, are highly desirable.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel are highly desirable.
