Job Title: Store Associate Lompoc

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Associate to join our team at 99 Cents Only Stores, LLC. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a great shopping experience by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with merchandising and inventory tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, helping customers locate merchandise, and assisting with check-out processes.
  • Assist with receiving and unloading shipments, stocking and displaying merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process and return to stock all go-backs, carefully and correctly repack merchandise to be transferred back to the Distribution Center, and break down cardboard boxes and place in baler.
  • Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot, report any illegal activity by customers or employees to Store Management, and follow all Company safety procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal direction, follow the daily to-do list, and perform additional duties as assigned by Management or Supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, show initiative, and excel in a team environment.
  • Prior retail or grocery experience is considered a plus, but not required.
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact in an effective and friendly manner with customers and associates.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, both verbal and written, and proven ability to multi-task and meet shift goals and expectations.
  • Ability to regularly lift one to five pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds as you unload trucks or move large boxes of inventory.
  • Ability to constantly stand, bend, and reach with a moderate amount of manual dexterity.
