Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mandarin Language Teacher to join our team as a Lead Mandarin Teacher. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Mandarin language curriculum, providing instructional support to Mandarin teachers, and evaluating student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Mandarin language curriculum that aligns with program goals and standards.
  • Provide instructional support and mentorship to Mandarin teachers, including coaching and feedback on teaching practices.
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments and data analysis, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Mandarin team to develop and implement professional development sessions, and lead curriculum enhancement initiatives.
  • Support new teacher onboarding and maintain instructional resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education (Teaching Mandarin to Speakers of Other Languages), Mandarin, Linguistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in curriculum development, assessment, and instructional design.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate professional development sessions for Mandarin instructors and lead curriculum enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience conducting class observations, providing feedback, and evaluating instructional effectiveness.
  • Commitment to promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment for learners.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues, providing instructional coaching, and supporting student learning.
