Job Title: Mobile Service Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Mobile Service Mechanic is a critical role within Home Depot U.S.A., Inc., responsible for maintaining a fleet of rental equipment at various store locations and customer job sites. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on rental equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on light rental construction equipment, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
  • Order necessary parts and respond to service calls in a timely manner.
  • Assist with equipment deliveries and pickups as required.
  • Utilize company technology platforms to document work performed on equipment, including labor and parts.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or equivalent degree in a field related to the job preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience servicing construction equipment, with a focus on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and handheld technology (smartphones, laptops, tablets) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
