Sonographer - Obstetrics and Gynecology

We are seeking a dedicated Sonographer to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology team. This role is essential in delivering a comprehensive range of diagnostic ultrasound imaging and therapeutic services, contributing to the overall mission of our Radiology Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support within the first month of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of an accredited training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology.
  • Registered with ARDMS or ARRT, holding certification in at least one specialty (AB, OB/Gyn, PS, RVT).
  • AB (Abdomen) certification to be obtained within the first year of employment.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct imaging procedures adhering to established professional standards.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge and technical skills relevant to the field.
  • Provide education to patients regarding procedures and offer necessary support.
  • Foster teamwork and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Engage in problem-solving and manage crises effectively.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions and execute disinfection protocols.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to differentiate various shades of gray.
  • Capable of standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Competence in maneuvering ultrasound equipment for portable examinations.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Clinical healthcare setting.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to follow instructions in English.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
