Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic medical sonograms, including abdominal and OB/Gynecology ultrasound examinations, utilizing complex ultrasound equipment and transducers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic medical sonograms, including abdominal and OB/Gynecology ultrasound examinations
  • Utilize complex ultrasound equipment and transducers to obtain high-quality images
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and exam results
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited ultrasound program or a graduate from a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with current ARDMS certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Abdomen from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • Basic Life Support within 4 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in a major medical center
  • Experience with Acuson Sequoia, Philips iu-22 and Clickview ultrasound reporting package
Work Environment

This position is located at Kaiser Permanente's San Marcos Medical Offices 3 and requires a 50% travel schedule.
