Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop Production Supervisors in assigned areas, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Verify payroll records for production employees as necessary, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and be accountable for safety, food safety, cost, and productivity of assigned areas, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee special projects, start-ups, trials, and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results.
  • Plan production schedules and staffing requirements, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform various special tasks as assigned by the Shift Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Comply with all written corporate and plant policies, maintaining a culture of compliance and integrity.
  • Ensure plant compliance in food safety and assist in the upkeep of the complex grounds, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies, adhering to industry standards.
  • Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to the plant manager, maintaining a culture of transparency and accountability.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  1. Work in a wet/damp environment and a normal room temperature environment, adapting to changing conditions.
  2. Stand/walk 100% of the workday, maintaining physical stamina and endurance.
  3. Lift various weights on an as needed basis, demonstrating physical ability and strength.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success.
  2. Demonstrated ability in successfully leading a team, with a focus on development and growth.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
  4. Able to multi-task and prioritize, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  5. Creative and effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
  6. Basic knowledge of computers and related software, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  7. Experience in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years leadership experience in poultry processing, with a focus on quality and productivity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Poultry Science, Food Science, Management, or related field, with a focus on industry knowledge and expertise.
