Job Duties and Responsibilities

We're seeking an accomplished and adaptable Data Science Product Owner to join our innovative team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving the development of data-driven products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Your expertise in data science will facilitate effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders, enabling the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering and business teams, to deliver high-quality solutions that address business needs.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and iteration plans that synchronize with business goals and stakeholder requirements.
  • Communicate product strategies, progress updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members.
  • Facilitate sprint planning sessions, ensuring the team is aligned with priority tasks, and conduct regular demos to showcase progress to stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of backlog items, driving them to completion and effectively managing associated risks akin to a project manager's responsibilities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products within budgetary constraints and in accordance with quality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a product ownership capacity, focusing on data science & analytics.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with data science and engineering concepts, including ML.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud stack (AWS, GCP or Azure).
  • Certification in agile methodologies such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
