Job Title: Data Science Product Owner

At DISH, we're reimagining the future of connectivity. As a Data Science Product Owner, you'll play a crucial role in driving the development of data-driven products that align with business objectives and stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that address business needs
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and iteration plans that synchronize with business goals and stakeholder requirements
  • Communicate product strategies, progress updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members
  • Facilitate sprint planning sessions, ensuring the team is aligned with priority tasks, and conduct regular demos to showcase progress to stakeholders
  • Take ownership of backlog items, driving them to completion and effectively managing associated risks akin to a project manager's responsibilities
  • Ensure timely delivery of products within budgetary constraints and in accordance with quality standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in a product ownership capacity, focusing on data science & analytics
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Familiarity with data science and engineering concepts, including ML
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud stack (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • Certification in agile methodologies such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
Compensation:

$96,250.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year
