Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, engineering, and day-to-day management of network engineering and operations personnel. This includes developing and refining the management strategy for the department, applying engineering principles to solve operational and network challenges, and ensuring consistent and effective practices and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, with a strong background in fiber broadband technologies, including planning, designing, cost estimating, installing, maintaining fiber optic networks, and operations center/equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience working in fiber broadband environment developing monitoring processes, analytics, deployments, maintenance procedures, update/upgrade/expansion plans, etc. for technical network operations
  • 5+ years of successful experience in a leadership capacity showing progressive roles and responsibilities
  • 10+ years of experience implementing telecommunication network technologies including planning, designing, cost estimating, installing, maintaining fiber optic networks operations center/equipment
  • Proven project management experience with complex parameters/scopes
  • Thorough knowledge of FTTP access technologies (e.g., EPON, XPON, etc.)
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure team environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and skills in addition to working in a team-oriented environment
