Key Responsibilities
  • Primary Role: Work as a neurocritical care Advanced Practice Practitioner, providing six hour days shifts in a two-week pay period.
  • Team Collaboration: Join a multifaceted team that covers neurosurgery, neurocritical care, and elective neurosurgery cases.
  • Training and Development: Receive training to cover all aspects of the neuroscience team and have the opportunity to cross cover other APP lead service lines.
  • Expanded Job Description: Perform routine and expanded job descriptions as listed in the provider's delegation agreement on file with the Maryland Board of Physicians or Maryland Board of Nursing.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program, and certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician's Assistants are required for PAs. For NPs, a Bachelor's degree, RN experience, and completion of Acute Nurse Practitioner degree are required.
  • Experience: One year of neurosurgery or neurocritical care experience is preferred.
  • Credentials: Credentialing must be obtained from UM Capital Region Health's Medical Staff Office and maintenance of BLS /ACLS certification is required. ATLS and ENLS certification is preferred.
