The Inova Transplant Programs are seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Physician to manage the care of solid organ and stem cell transplant candidates and recipients.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop guidelines for the prevention and management of infections for each transplant program to minimize infection-related morbidity and mortality
Provide education and support for each transplant program to ensure that clinical protocols are standard of care and that physicians are well trained

Collaborate with community infectious disease partners to build a network of providers knowledgeable and competent in managing transplant infectious disease-related issues.

Provides expertise in prevention, diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases related to solid organ, stem cell transplant, advanced heart failure, and advanced lung disease
Ensure quality care to patients with infectious diseases within the heart, lung, kidney, and stem cell transplant populations as well as heart failure and advanced lung disease

Licensure, Education, and Certifications

  • Virginia License or ability to obtain
  • Valid VA DEA
  • Current BLS/ALCS
  • Board Certification in Infectious Disease
