POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is with Florida Farm Bureau, the state office for Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, and we are currently seeking a Multi-Lines Claims Specialist to join our team in Panama City, FL.
The individual in this position will be tasked with managing and resolving claims related to damages and injuries incurred by our insured clients. The starting salary for this position is $52,000, accompanied by a company vehicle. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, Extended Illness Leave, a pension plan, and a matching 401K.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are essential to this role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
- Conduct thorough investigations, validate claims, evaluate circumstances, negotiate settlements, and finalize all assigned claims.
- Provide reserve recommendations for claims under management.
- Engage with the public to clarify procedures, address issues, and explain coverage options.
- Negotiate equitable settlements with claimants or their legal representatives.
- Maintain accurate claim files and adhere to departmental reporting protocols.
- Communicate risk assessments to the Underwriting department.
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education as required.
- Prepare detailed estimates for auto and property damage claims.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
- Must obtain an Adjuster's license within six months of employment.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- In-depth product knowledge.
- Capacity to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Competence in performing mathematical operations relevant to daily tasks.
