Program Goals
  • Develop confidence to practice independently and manage a patient caseload
  • Enhance effective communication and presentation skills as part of the interprofessional care team
  • Utilize evidence-based medicine practices through value-based care
  • Prepare the APN to assume full responsibility for care of complex populations in multiple settings
  • Provide an avenue for APN leadership within the organization
  • Lead an evidence-based project or research

The fellowship program will provide a comprehensive experience, including rotations through various in-patient care settings and an elective rotation of choice. Clinical rotations will include subspecialties in internal medicine and didactic hours. This is a full-time position, generally an 8-hour day shift with occasional nights required, depending on the rotation. Weekends and holidays as needed.
