Faculty Positions in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine is seeking dedicated faculty members for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. We invite applications for the roles of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. We are in search of two full-time faculty physicians who are committed to the education of future healthcare professionals.
As a member of the OB/Gyn Department, you will engage with colleagues on local, regional, and national healthcare initiatives aimed at improving access to medical services. The department emphasizes research, with funding available for various projects, including investigations into hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. There are also Quality Improvement initiatives in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educating and supervising medical students and residents across various clinical environments, including inpatient care, Labor & Delivery, surgical settings, and outpatient clinics.
- Delivering direct patient care.
- Allocating time for research and administrative responsibilities.
- Contributing to academic advancement, research initiatives, and clinical practices.
- Maintaining a clinical practice through Wright State Physicians, Inc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
- Completion of a 4-Year Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency.
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or Board-Eligible).
- Unrestricted Medical License in Ohio.
- DEA License issued by the federal government.
Instructors are expected to fulfill the above qualifications by their start date as Board Eligible. Assistant Professors must meet these criteria as Board Certified. Associate Professors are required to meet all qualifications along with additional service and publication standards as outlined by WSU BSOM Faculty Affairs policies. All decisions regarding rank adhere to WSU BSOM Faculty Affairs guidelines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in research, publications, and securing grants.
- Participation in clinical trials or translational research.
- Involvement in quality improvement initiatives.
- Leadership experience in academic or clinical environments.
- Contributions to curriculum design and resident mentorship.
- Engagement with community outreach and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in both research and clinical care.
