Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Role

We are seeking a well-trained Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Psychiatry at WMCHealth. The ideal candidate will have a track record of clinical accomplishments in the treatment of patients with serious mental illness and will provide services to adults, including triage, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, prescribing, and individual counseling and group treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities also include reviewing patients' medication records to determine the appropriateness of the existing medication regimen.

This is an employed position through WMC Advanced Physician Services, which is a subsidiary professional corporation of WMCHealth. Benefits include paid vacation time, CME, and malpractice insurance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Applicants must have a Master's degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner certification in Psychiatry, and a valid New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner.
