Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing new prescription orders and refills for outpatients, processing and preparing prescriptions for pharmacist review, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter prescription orders and process them for pharmacist review
  • Prepare and compound pharmaceutical products according to regulations
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Rotate through all work areas of the pharmacy to ensure efficient workflow
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department
Requirements
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
  • Ability to interact positively with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a pharmacy setting, with frequent standing, walking, and reaching. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull carts is also required.
