Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our civil litigation team at Jobot. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review case files and assess legal and factual issues for discovery, motion, trial, and settlement purposes.
  • Prepare and respond to demand letters, draft and respond to pleadings, and draft and argue motions.
  • Appear regularly in court proceedings, maintain accurate calendars, and take and defend depositions.
  • Manage relationships with clients, court personnel, colleagues, and opposing counsel, and work with legal support staff to effectuate client needs.
Requirements
  • Active member of the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5+ years prior experience in litigation.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, take direction, and provide direction to other firm members as applicable.
  • Results and deadline-oriented, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Finely tuned analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze a multitude of documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to drive to court and other events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Gmail, MacOS, and other relevant software.
