Job Summary:

We are seeking a Heavy Civil Laborer to assist our Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. This is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity to learn a skill and grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dig, spread, and level dirt, sand, and gravel using hand tools.
  • Lift, carry, and hold construction materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
  • Perform routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, and assembling pipe sections.
  • Assist in machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering, and fusing pipe.

Requirements:
  • Less than a High School Diploma
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities

Working Conditions:
  • Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions

Physical Activity Level:
  • Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature

Manual Dexterity:
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials
