Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Therapist to join our team at New Story IDS LLC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing special education by providing speech-language therapy services to students with diverse needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside families and schools to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters academic and social success. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students aged 5-22 and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals, to implement effective speech-language therapy activities.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans to ensure clear communication among all team members and promote ongoing progress.
  • Develop IEP goals and administer tests to support student achievement.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree from an accredited academic program in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Active ASHA certification for speech-language pathologists (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in counseling and education.

  • Competitive salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
