Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our team at the Redwood City School District. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing instructional activities and materials
  • Support students in developing their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills
  • Provide routine clerical support and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with supervision of students during playground and classroom activities
  • Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned

Requirements:

  • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with preschool-aged children
  • 6 ECE units or Associate Teacher Permit
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
