**Job Description / Essential Elements:**

**Position:** Math Instructional Aide

**Description:** Under the general supervision of the school principal, provide students with math support during class periods, and provide supervision for students during the lunch period.

**Qualifications:**

* Knowledge of general math, pre-algebra, and algebra, and the ability to help students in small groups with math assignments.
* Willingness to support and assist staff with school rules and policies, including safety rules.
* Knowledge of methods to deal with students firmly but fairly, and first aid procedures.
* Ability to maintain acceptable standards of behavior among children, communicate orally and in writing, and exercise sound judgment and initiative in a variety of situations.
