Job Summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a highly skilled Creative Design Specialist to join the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC). This role will be responsible for providing graphic design and visual solutions that meet the marketing and communications needs of the college and its clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and lead creativity, conceptualization, and production of digital and print materials, including animations, brochures, flyers, posters, PowerPoint slides, invitations, web designs, and wireframes.
  • Meet with clients to determine goals and needs, review proofs/mock-ups, and obtain signed-off approvals.
  • Maintain understanding of the latest design tools and techniques, and plan for long-term innovative projects to improve Terry communications.
  • Collaborate regularly with OMC team on design status/efforts and facilitate customer service through electronic communication and face-to-face meetings.
Requirements
  • Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, including layout, color, type, and composition.
  • Photo editing experience and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
