Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a warm, safe, and healthy learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. You will work collaboratively with a team to support children's needs and engage with parents to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of each child
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, rest time, and outdoor play
  • Ensure compliance with Head Start, Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, NAEYC, and CACFP standards
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to child care
Requirements
  • Massachusetts EEC certification required; Associate's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree may be required depending on level of position
  • Demonstrated ability to make a positive impact on early childhood developmental needs
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems
  • Ability to show MMR and other immunizations required by the EEC
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Khmer, English/Portuguese) are a plus
