Position Overview

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the Healthcare Systems & Services sector. This position involves working in a travel capacity, providing essential services in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer patient care throughout clinical procedures.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and review procedural orders.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Gather comprehensive patient history and assess for any procedural contradictions.
  • Operate and maintain necessary auxiliary equipment.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and their families.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and administer radionuclides/medications as needed.
  • Set up instruments and imaging protocols according to departmental guidelines.
  • Implement ALARA principles in all clinical tasks.
  • Evaluate imaging results and perform additional views when necessary.
  • Process and analyze computer-generated data.
  • Collect samples for non-imaging studies.
  • Administer pharmacologic agents under established protocols.
  • Maintain sterile techniques as required.
  • Conduct imaging and therapeutic exams following established protocols.
  • Ensure patient safety during transitions between devices.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety devices and their appropriate use.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine.
Certifications and Licenses
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • CPR certification and ARRT(N) or NMTCB registration.
  • SCRQSA License.
Skills and Competencies
  • Preferred ARRT in Radiology.
  • Experience with Philips equipment is a plus.
  • Required experience in SPECT/CT.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with office equipment.
  • Proficient in database management and data entry.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Solid background in physics and chemistry.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety equipment.
