We are currently seeking a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an exciting opportunity in the field of Healthcare Systems & Services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of technical procedures utilizing radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during clinical procedures.
  • Verify patient identity and review procedural orders meticulously.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations as they arise.
  • Gather comprehensive patient history and assess for any procedural contradictions.
  • Operate and maintain necessary auxiliary equipment throughout procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families.
  • Prepare patients adequately for imaging procedures.
  • Select and administer appropriate radionuclides/medications in correct dosages.
  • Prepare imaging protocols in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Implement ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Evaluate imaging results and perform additional views as needed.
  • Process and analyze computer-generated data accurately.
  • Collect samples for non-imaging studies as required.
  • Administer pharmacologic agents as per established protocols.
  • Maintain sterile techniques throughout all procedures.
  • Conduct imaging and therapeutic exams in line with established protocols.
  • Ensure patient security during transitions between devices.
  • Utilize safety devices appropriately and demonstrate sound judgment in their application.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine.
Certifications
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • CPR certification and ARRT(N) or NMTCB registration.
  • SCRQSA License.
Knowledge and Skills
  • ARRT in Radiology is preferred.
  • Experience with Philips equipment is advantageous.
  • SPECT/CT experience is required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with office equipment.
  • Proficient in database management and data entry.
  • Mathematical proficiency.
  • Solid foundation in physics and chemistry.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
