Asphalt Equipment Operators

POSITION SUMMARY

The Asphalt Equipment Operator role entails the operation of various paving machinery in asphalt-related projects.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A solid understanding of safety protocols and policies
  • Expertise in Asphalt Equipment operation
  • A valid driver's license, with a preference for CDL

WORK LOCATION

Sioux Falls, SD

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operate various paving machinery in asphalt-related tasks.
  2. Asphalt Roller Operator: manage a rubber tire or steel wheel asphalt roller to achieve the desired compaction of the asphalt mat.
  3. Asphalt Screed Operator: control screed mechanisms during the application of asphalt on highways, private roads, parking lots, and driveways; make necessary adjustments to ensure the correct depth, grade, and finished cross-section of the asphalt material using screed extensions; perform additional related tasks such as modifying screed extensions as needed.
