Kentucky Personnel Cabinet
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Park Chef II at General Butler State Resort Park. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for leading a team of kitchen personnel, planning and implementing menu development, and ensuring the highest level of food product consistency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Plan, train, and supervise kitchen personnel to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service
* Develop and implement menu plans that meet the needs of our guests and align with our culinary standards
* Manage inventory, purchasing, and budget reporting to ensure accurate financial tracking and control
* Enforce departmental rules, regulations, and policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
**Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive menu development and inventory management
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to lead a high-performing kitchen team
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments
**Minimum Requirements:**
* High school graduate
* Four years of food preparation experience in salads, vegetables, or meats
* Two years of management or supervision experience in a large-scale institutional or commercial full-service restaurant or state resort park food facility
**Working Conditions:**
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
**Probationary Period:**
This position has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months.
