Job Summary:

IMEG Corp., a leading design consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Gurnee, IL. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for conducting complex surveys, interpreting data, and preparing detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
• Perform complex surveys and complete projects as assigned, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title information as needed to resolve boundary disputes.
• Prepare new parcel plats and legal descriptions, adhering to accepted legal principles.
• Supervise, participate in, and approve the reduction of survey field notes and calculations.
• Assist in training junior staff members and contribute to the development of the surveying team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
• Meet state-specific licensure requirements for experience, education, and pass the NCEES LS exam.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD C3D software and other surveying software programs.
