Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Hultafors Group North America. This role will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of silk-screening machines, ensuring quality and production expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up work areas and obtain necessary materials and component parts.
  • Operate silk-screening machines, correct malfunctions, repair, and adjust screens as needed.
  • Perform visual and physical inspections of materials and separate substandard items for disposal or rework.
  • Restock chemicals, inks, and related supplies, communicating low stock levels to management.
  • Communicate exceptions affecting production standards, utilizing the Hour by Hour board if available.
  • Prepare finished goods for the next stage of production and pack them accordingly.
  • Calculate accurate counts of finished products.
  • Utilize measuring devices such as scales and rulers.
  • Perform basic computer functions like printing labels, schedules, and recording daily time.
  • Maintain a clean and functioning work area adhering to 5S standards.
Requirements
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills, including ability to read process sheets and complete production documents effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, carrying out assignments within parameters of instructions given.
  • High school diploma or equivalent typically acquired through completion of a GED program.
  • Age requirement: 18 years or older.
  • Licenses and permits: legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing environments, preferably with machine operation and setup.
  • Ability to understand written material and write using correct spelling and punctuation; add, subtract, multiply, and divide using fractions or decimals.
Physical Requirements
  • Safe and successful performance of essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintaining regular, punctual attendance in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving moderate weight (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
