Position Overview:
The role of the Production Plant Technician involves ensuring optimal production, maintenance, quality control, and safety within the Aggregates Operations sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of treatment plant processes; troubleshoot and document performance metrics.
- Operate and fine-tune treatment plant machinery, including pumps, motors, and feeders, to sustain efficient operations.
- Utilize welding equipment for tasks such as welding, brazing, and cutting.
- Select appropriate welding rods for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Fabricate components based on blueprints and specifications.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical components such as bearings, speed reducers, and belts.
- Maintain and repair crushing, screening, and conveying machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including general housekeeping and repairs on both mobile and stationary equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required, including activity logs and inventory documentation.
- Engage in training sessions related to job-specific skills and safety protocols; complete assessments as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and operational procedures relevant to the facility and equipment.
- Propose improvements to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies:
- Consistent attendance and high performance standards are essential.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions to complete tasks effectively.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English, with basic mathematical skills.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain daily inventory records.
- Participate in safety briefings and share relevant information with team members and management.
- Work collaboratively within a team, following directions and adapting to additional responsibilities as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Physical Demands:
