About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a Senior Application Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing major projects, providing professional support services, and integrating, implementing, and transitioning large, complex systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop e-government solutions, and be responsible for technical design and implementation of the architecture.
  • Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and backend applications.
  • Provide expertise on defining the role of broadband and wireless applications.
  • Provide definition of current State architecture blueprints.
  • Provide expertise with web servers, gateways, and application servers and content management systems.
  • Provide experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions.
  • Research new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes.
  • Compare various solutions and determine the most suitable.
  • Ensure that development efforts are well planned and in agreement with standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems.
  • Must have led or been chief architect in a major IT applications implementation effort.
  • Must have a strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as business acumen.
  • Ability to compile and organize information and present findings to management.
  • Confident in decision making and the ability to explain technical processes or choices as needed.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and task management.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Outstanding problem solver.
Additional Requirements
  • At least six (6) years of experience in designing medium to large-scale sites and management of at least five Internet projects.
  • Must have a strong understanding of cloud computing and cybersecurity.
