Claims Data and Analytics Lead

The Amtrust Claims Workers' Compensation and Managed Care Analytics team is seeking a skilled Claims Data & Analytics Lead to support the Claims organization by providing actionable insights and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of analytical, data strategy, execution, and communication skills to drive business decisions and drive organizational change.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver analytical projects to improve claims operational performance and provide Actuarial/Underwriting with insights on the health of the book of business. Establish themselves as a thought leader and trusted subject matter expert, educating others on the use of Workers' Compensation and Medical Data. Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Develop a robust data foundation for Workers' Compensation and Managed Care, leveraging internal and external data sources. Prepare and present deliverables to senior leaders and stakeholders. Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Science, or a quantitative Social Science. Advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of analytical experience in a P&C Insurer, Health Insurance Company, or Healthcare organization. Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Proven track record of using analytics to influence business decisions and drive organizational change. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint. Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Familiarity with statistical programming languages such as R, SAS, Python, SPSS, or Stata. Ability to work collaboratively across business units and adapt to changing priorities. Willingness to learn new software and technologies as needed.
