Key Responsibilities
  • Develop System of Systems concepts and provide actionable insights to realize new system capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough research, perform trade studies, and propose effective solutions to overcome technical obstacles.
  • Collaborate with government partners to identify, plan, and execute Fleet and Limited Objective Experiments (FLEX and LOE) events.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations and reports, effectively communicating proposed concepts, solutions, and analysis results to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

You will meet our basic qualifications if you...
  • Hold a BS degree in systems engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Possess over 5 years of relevant professional experience in systems engineering.
  • Have experience in early concept development, considering cost, schedule, and performance criteria.
  • Are familiar with Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with sponsor representatives.
  • Are willing to travel locally to government sponsor offices, test sites, and contractor locations in the greater Washington D.C. area, approximately once a week.
  • Are open to occasional travel to government and contractor sites in support of Fleet Experiment events within the continental United States (CONUS) and potentially internationally, based on fleet experiment and exercise schedules, approximately two to three weeks per quarter.
  • Can obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately achieve a TS/SCI level clearance, subject to a government security clearance investigation and eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship.

  • Bring previous experience in strike warfare systems, Navy fleet experimentation, and/or large-scale military exercises.
  • Hold a current TS/SCI clearance.
