As a Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at ENGIE, you will play a vital role in overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the comprehensive energy metering and control systems. Reporting directly to the Electrical Instrument and Controls Supervisor, you will ensure the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of operational excellence by ensuring the functionality of instrumentation and control systems.
- Utilize your expertise to configure, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair various instrumentation, including steam, chilled water, natural gas, electric, and hot water systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Modbus RTU and TCP, installing and troubleshooting network communication equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair sensing lines, valves, and fittings, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Maintain meticulous records of maintenance and calibration activities, including calibration reports and inventory updates.
- Employ calibration tools effectively, including field communicators, pressure calibrators, and multimeters.
- Assist in the configuration of meter points and data trends within the Data Acquisition System.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.
This position requires daily on-site attendance. Candidates must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as driving a company vehicle is necessary. The role involves approximately 15% outdoor work, exposing you to various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
Applicants should be capable of handling multiple tasks with precision and accuracy. Physical capabilities include:
- Carrying a tool bag weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Climbing ladders and working at heights.
- Working in varying temperatures and conditions, including dusty and noisy environments.
- Accessing confined spaces and elevated platforms safely.
Salary: $48.76 USD per hour
