The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to serve as the Coordinator of Multicultural Mental Health Initiatives. This role will focus on developing and implementing programs and services that cater to the unique needs of Black/African American/African Diaspora students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate mental health programs and services for Black/African American/African Diaspora students, in collaboration with the Center for Black Cultures, Resources, & Research and the Cross-Cultural Center.
- Provide direct services to students as a generalist counseling psychologist, including initial assessments, time-limited individual and group psychotherapy, crisis care services, and campus crisis response.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to Center research and evaluation efforts.
- Supervise and train psychology doctoral interns in an APA-accredited internship program.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
- Licensed as a psychologist in California (or license-eligible in California).
- Completion of a psychology internship program.
- Verification of completion of CA continuing education requirements for supervision.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychological services to outpatients or inpatients.
- Three post-licensure years of clinical/counseling experience in the field of psychology.
- Supervision experience with psychology doctoral interns, preferably in an APA-accredited program.
- Interest in the application and integration of social justice in counseling center work.
The University of California, Irvine offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $154,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to a variety of discounts and perks.
