About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer II to join our Meijer MarTech development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data movement flows and configuring supporting applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering: Code, test, and implement data movement artifacts, and configure/administer supporting applications.
  • System Development: Develop programs and systems documentation according to SAFe Agile principles and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a competent understanding of both systems and/or business knowledge and contribute software engineering advice.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Business Product Owner and IT partners to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria for projects.
  • Agile Team Member: Actively participate in all Agile team ceremonies and assist in production support and maintenance of data movement flows and supporting applications as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering development, with experience in tool support and administration or application development a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Python and SQL, experience building data and analytics solutions using Azure ADLS, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
