Applicants must possess certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from the American Board of Pathology or an equivalent body, and should be eligible for certification in Pediatric Pathology. This facility, managed by Intermountain Healthcare, serves a broad region across five states in the Intermountain West, featuring a 332-bed hospital in Salt Lake City and a newly opened 66-bed facility nearby.

Currently, the division comprises eight pediatric pathologists and offers a fellowship training program. There are ample opportunities for mentorship and the development of specialized expertise in areas such as oncologic pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, neuropathology, perinatal/autopsy pathology, and laboratory/transfusion medicine.

The Department of Pathology boasts outstanding clinical, research, and educational initiatives, operating a national reference laboratory, ARUP Laboratories, and collaborating closely with the Huntsman Cancer Institute, which enhances research and educational prospects.

Salt Lake City is renowned for its breathtaking natural surroundings, offering world-class recreational trails and facilities just minutes from the hospital, alongside the advantages of a vibrant urban environment.

Positions are available now, and we also welcome inquiries from fellows graduating in 2025. For further information, please reach out to the Department of Pathology.
