Role Overview
As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at our facility, you will join a dedicated team focused on fostering positive patient experiences and addressing the comprehensive wellness needs of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical and psychosocial care to patients through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide holistic, individualized care tailored to the patient's age and needs.
- Advocate for patient safety and ensure compliance with essential measures for applicable patients.
- Engage in personal and professional growth while inspiring colleagues to do the same.
- Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new team members.
- Participate in the development and execution of care plans.
- Communicate effectively to enhance patient outcomes, deliver quality interventions, and promote teamwork within the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) / Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of hire.
- One year of experience in chemical dependency or psychiatric nursing, or a strong desire to develop skills in this area.
