About the Role

Spectrum is seeking a highly skilled Horizontal Directional Driller to join our team. As a key member of our underground construction team, you will be responsible for operating Vermeer horizontal directional drill rigs and equipment to support a major telecommunications infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Vermeer horizontal directional drill rigs and equipment to drill underground conduits and fiber installations
  • Work closely with the Horizontal Directional Locator to ensure accurate drilling operations
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in horizontal drilling and underground construction
  • Practical working experience with underground construction for both conduit and fiber installation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA safety certifications, operator certifications, Class A or B CDL, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • 5+ years of experience in horizontal drilling and underground construction
