About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Horizontal Directional Driller to join our team at Spectrum. As a key member of our underground construction team, you will be responsible for operating Vermeer horizontal directional drill rigs and equipment to support major telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run Vermeer horizontal directional drill rigs and equipment to install conduit and fiber for telecommunications infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with the Horizontal Directional Locator to ensure accurate drilling operations
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in horizontal drilling and underground construction
  • Practical working experience with underground construction for both conduit and fiber installation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA safety certifications, operator certifications, Class A or B CDL, and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • 5+ years of experience in horizontal drilling and underground construction
