Key Responsibilities- Pre-Sort and Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-sort and inspection of parts and materials to ensure conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
- Non-Conforming Parts: Identify and contain non-conforming parts and sub-assemblies, and rectify them through rework, sorting, and/or scrapping as directed.
- Tooling and Equipment: Determine the necessary tools and equipment required to perform the job, and ensure their proper use and maintenance.
- Communication: Communicate inspection results to managers, supervisors, and production sources, and ensure effective communication with the team.
- Technical Skills: Possess basic hand tool skills, including gaging, drills, taps, grinders, and sanders, and be able to use them to repair and clean parts and sub-assemblies.
- Quality Management: Have a strong understanding of quality management principles and practices, and be able to apply them in a production environment.
- Customer Focus: Be able to build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide excellent customer service.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Integrity: Demonstrate strong integrity and a commitment to upholding the company's values and principles.
- Self-Motivation: Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
