Position Overview:

As a vital member of our retail team, the Cashier plays a crucial role in the daily operations and customer service experience at Rite Aid. This position is focused on delivering exceptional service to our customers while ensuring smooth transaction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with their needs, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  2. Engage with customers in a courteous and efficient manner while processing transactions at the cash register.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  4. Restock shelves and displays with merchandise upon delivery.
  5. Support store management in ensuring product freshness and compliance with shelf life standards.
  6. Verify proper identification for age-restricted sales, including alcohol and tobacco products.
  7. Assist in the operation of the One-hour Photo department, if applicable.
  8. Construct merchandise displays and execute new plan-o-grams as directed.
  9. Conduct inventory counts and assist in ordering stock based on inventory results.
  10. Post signage for promotional items and remove it once the promotion concludes.
  11. Help with price adjustments and markdowns for in-store merchandise.
