• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, maintaining a professional and cheerful demeanor.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Collect blood samples with minimal discomfort and high accuracy, adhering to patient and specimen identification policies.
• Accurately label and register specimens using computer systems, ensuring seamless specimen processing.
• Stay up-to-date on various needles, anticoagulants, and test preparation methods, applying knowledge to optimize specimen quality.
• Assist with inventory management and supply organization, maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
• Support specimen processing and other related duties, contributing to the smooth operation of the laboratory.

• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, including both classroom and practical experience, or equivalent education or experience.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Knowledge of universal precaution procedures and electronic data processing equipment.
• Physical ability to move freely, wear personal protective equipment, and perform job duties with minimal assistance.

Exposure to stressful situations, including public contact, trauma, grief, and death. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent postural changes and repetitive movements.
