POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Material Specialist role is integral to supporting Enterprise Contract Logistics Services (ECLS) within the Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) Division. This position focuses on Materiel Management, Warehousing, and various Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities essential for the C2ISR weapon systems.

Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


This role involves performing both manual and administrative tasks associated with the shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a diverse range of materials, equipment, and supplies.


Accountable for the movement, storage, oversight, and safeguarding of materials, goods, and products throughout the entire lifecycle of manufacturing, distribution, consumption, and disposal.

The emphasis is on the methodologies, mechanical equipment, systems, and related controls utilized to execute these functions.

Coordinates the issuance, shipping, delivery, or transfer of property from designated issue, shipping, or transfer points in collaboration with customers.

Manages the issuance of classified sensitive and controlled items, ensuring proper custody or documentation of receipts.

Maintains compliance with security classification sensitivities during handling, shipping, receiving, transferring, and storing materials as per applicable security classification guidelines.

Compiles data for storage and occupancy planning reports.

Responsible for pulling, issuing, and organizing bench stock property.

Engages in various warehousing tasks that necessitate an understanding of the storage plan of the establishment.

Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies and visible damages.

Processes and inputs receipt documentation using ALMSS while resolving processing discrepancies.


Routes materials to designated storage locations; organizes, stacks, or pallets materials according to prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored items, examining stored materials, and reporting any deterioration or damage.

Prepares materials for shipment by removing them from storage.

REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Active DoD Secret clearance is essential.

A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Capability to operate hand or power trucks while performing warehousing duties.

Experience in inventory and document control is necessary.


Familiarity with warehousing operations, including receiving and inspecting assets, conducting inspections on incoming and outgoing materials, and packing and labeling both general and hazardous cargo.
