Program Overview

Lennar's Technology Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship designed for rising college seniors. This program will provide you with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world projects and challenges. You will work alongside seasoned professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture, and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering and translating internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications and business process reengineering.
  • Developing high-quality solutions and unit tests, ensuring successful integration into the overall application/system with clean, robust, and well-tested interfaces.
  • Collaborating with technology engineering leaders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Working on feature enhancements, bug fixes, and tech debt.

As a Data Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and maintaining data quality and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing activities, as well as integration support.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a focus on data processing libraries.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools, such as R, Matlab, Jupyter, PowerBI, Excel, or Tableau.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to write simple queries and perform basic data manipulations.
Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Be graduating from a 4-year College or University between December 2025 and May 2026.
  • Be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, Scala, Java, JavaScript, C# or C++.
  • Have knowledge of delivery/release events, such as release notes, branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution.
  • Be able to work within Scrum & Agile methodologies.
  • Have strong analytical and written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.

Physical and Office/ Site Presence Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position that requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office. Also requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry items less than 50 pounds. Finger dexterity in operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork, and to receive/return phone messages. Standing is required for filing and copying.
