Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist (Full or Part Time) to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healthy lifestyles in our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pharmacy consulting services to patients, including medication therapy management and health education.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of prescribed medications, adhering to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to optimize patient outcomes and improve health outcomes.
  • Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and healthcare services, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and services.

Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
